Persona 5: The Phantom X update roadmap
By Ryan Woodrow

If you’ve already reached the end of the story content in the current version of P5X or just can’t wait to get your hands on new Phantom Thieves, then don’t worry, as updates are inbound very quickly. The current roadmap for P5X has updates coming to the global version a lot quicker than they did for the Chinese version of the game, so you’ll have more content than you know what to do with soon enough.
We’ll run through the currently announced roadmap for P5X, along with full details of what’s in every update. If you want to know what banners will be coming with each of these updates, check out our full P5X upcoming banner schedule.

Update 1.1 – July 10
The first update has already had its date announced, and it’s right around the corner. Version 1.1 launches on July 10, bringing with it the conclusion of the second chapter of the story, letting you face off with the boss of the second palace, which CN players say is one of the toughest battles in the game, so get your team good and ready.
Alongside it, Phases 3 and 4 of Lufel’s Business Plan will unlock, letting you progress and get your hands on even more rewards, as well as the Super Metro Line content. We’ll also be getting more Synergy Bond scenes, sub-stories, and City Life activities.
Update 1.2 – Late July
The main feature in Version 1.2 will be the first half of the second Persona 5 crossover event, which will likely see us re-explore Madarame’s Palace from P5, much like how the first arc took us through Komoshida’s Castle. To that end, this is also the update where you can expect to see Yusuke/Fox added to the game as a limited-time banner.
It will be joined by “new mini events” as well as the usual bout of new synergy, sub-story, and City Life content.
Update 1.3 – Early August
This will give us the second half of the second Persona 5 crossover event, letting you wrap that up. It too will continue to bring new mini events and all the usual trimmings with synergy, sub-stories, and City Life.
Update 1.4 – Mid/Late August
While there isn’t any major story content being added in Version 1.4, there will be a “new battle event” coming, which will hopefully put our skills to the test, especially as it comes alongside new training/growth content, letting you push your team to even greater heights. As with all these updates, much of the side content will be expanded with this update.
Update 2.0 – Late August/Early September
As the name suggests, Version 2.0 will be the biggest update to the game since launch. It will kick off Chapter 3 of the main story with a new Palace for you to explore, which will also see a new Phantom Thief join the main crew as part of the story. With it, we will see expansions to the map with Kichijoji being advertised as a new area to be added, and of course, the side stuff will all get a healthy dose of new content.
