Persona 5: The Phantom X update roadmap
By Ryan Woodrow

If you’ve already reached the end of the story content in the current version of P5X or just can’t wait to get your hands on new Phantom Thieves, then don’t worry, as updates are inbound very quickly. The current roadmap for P5X has updates coming to the global version a lot quicker than they did for the Chinese version of the game, so you’ll have more content than you know what to do with soon enough.
We’ll run through the currently announced roadmap for P5X, along with full details of what’s in every update. If you want to know what banners will be coming with each of these updates, check out our full P5X upcoming banner schedule.
Update 1.4 – August 21
While there isn’t any major story content being added in Version 1.4, there will be a “new battle event” coming, which will hopefully put our skills to the test, especially as it comes alongside new training/growth content, letting you push your team to even greater heights. As with all these updates, much of the side content will be expanded with this update.
Update 2.0 – September 8
As the name suggests, Version 2.0 will be the biggest update to the game since launch. It will kick off Chapter 3 of the main story with a new Palace for you to explore, which will also see a new Phantom Thief join the main crew as part of the story. With it, we will see expansions to the map with Kichijoji being advertised as a new area to be added, and of course, the side stuff will all get a healthy dose of new content.
Update 2.1 - September 22
We don't yet know exactly what the 2.1 update is going to bring us. In the Chinese version of the game this brought us the first wave of Summer versions of existing Phantom Idols, but given that this is launching in late September, it seems unlikely it'll be the same for the Global version. However, thanks to information on upcoming banners, we do know that this update will be dropping September 22.
