The 8 Current Best Overwatch Pros

The Overwatch competitive scene has a lot of famous names. Names like Seagull, MoonMoon, and DSPStanky constantly appear, stemming a lot of Overwatch fans to think that they are the best players in the world. Sure, Seagull has had some insane Pharah plays, MoonMoon is a fun streamer to watch, and DSPStanky has the best Lucio montages, but none of them made the list.

The best players in Overwatch are those that can consistently perform. Even though it's difficult to identify the Lebron James of video games, we think we have narrowed it down to the top eight players in the world.

8. Terence "SoOn" Tarlier

This French player does a great job posing as a time traveling Brit. Terence "SoOn" Tarlier is known as the best Tracer player in the world. SoOn currently plays for the number two team in the entire world, Rogue, as their DPS player. He has helped the team win 17 out of 17 of the last pro games they have played. Keep calm and Tracer on.

7. Kevyn "TviQ" Lindström

Kevyn "TviQ" Lindström celebrated a great professional career during the height of TF2's popularity. Since then, he has moved on to dominate opponents for the pro Overwatch team, Misfits. This Swedish player continues to outperforms the competition as Misfits are currently the 5th best team in the world.

6. André "iddqd" Dahlström

André "iddqd" Dahlström hails from the land of Sweden. iddqd also hails from the land of great skill. This McCree player is able to shoot the infra-sight visor off a Widowmaker from 400 yards away at breakneck speed. He currently plays for pro team NRG as their DPS player.

5. Lane "Surefour" Roberts

Lane "Surefour" Roberts was the first player to ever reach 80 skill rating in Competitive Season One. However, this still sells Surefour short. Currently the DPS player for Cloud9, Surefour initially gained notoriety upon Overwatch's release when his McCree skills appeared so unreal that players made allegations that he HAD to be aimbotting. Obviously, his appearance and performance at LANS have shown that he isn't cheating --  Surefour is just that good.

4. Gong "Miro" Jin Hyuk

Lunatic-Hai is the number one ranked Overwatch team in the entire world currently. It's clear to many, that Gong "Miro" Jin Hyuk is to thank for that. This incredible Winston player has proven that "you don't have to be DPS to be considered the best." He continually performs for Lunatic-Hai and even helped carry the South Korean team to a 2016 Overwatch World Cup first place finish.

3. Timo "Taimou" Kettunen

Similar to Surefour, Timo "Taimou" Kettunen dealt with a lot of raised eyebrows when his skill was witnessed. This Finnish player currently plays for Team EnvyUs and is clearly the most consistent Widowmaker and McCree player in the world. Taimou has gifted his team the number three spot in the world.

2. Ryu "Ryujehong" Je Hong

Ryu "Ryujehong" Je Hong is by far the best Ana player in the world. He consistently provides Lunatic-Hai with the best support possible, allowing him to contend for the spot as the best Overwatch player. Playing the support role is less glorious than DPS, but Ryujehong has proven that there is an extreme amount of skill required to play Ana with such fervor.

1. Hwang "Fl0w3R" Yeon Oh

Few can contest that Hwang "Fl0w3R" Yeon Oh deserves the highest regard on the list of the top Overwatch players in the world. Recently a Redditor posed the question, "Who's the best player in the world?" The response, well...was overwhelmingly in favor of Fl0w3r. He fills as a flex player for LuxuryWatch Blue. However, as elastic as Fl0w3r is, he really shines in the role of Genji, where he is able to make dangerously fast decisions and plays. Few words can work to describe his skills, so we are gonna just leave you with this: Fl0w3r is extremely good.
