Tomorrow's semifinals matches of DreamHack Open Summer are interesting -- to say the least. Each match has one upset team and one top-tier team.
The semifinal games are as follows:
- Immortals vs. Fnatic
- CLG vs. SK Gaming
The best-of-three grand finals match takes place afterwards.
Matchup to Watch:
I'm looking forward to see if CLG can continue their awesome win-streak against SK. It'd be one more upset to add to their list of wins in the tournament so far.
Then again, I can't say they'll win with any certainty, especially with how well Fernando "fer" Alvarega and Marcelo "coldzera" David played against mousesports to get in the semis.
If CLG want to win, they'll have to rely on Kenneth "koosta" Suen. People expect a team like CLG to be shut down by the likes of SK, but with koosta performing the way he did against Gambit and Fnatic, Counter Logic Gaming have a real shot of winning the series.
This might be the tournament we look back to as the one where koosta finally reached the next level— Petar Milovanovic (@Tgwri1s) June 17, 2017
Maybe my long-time affection for the Swedes makes me biased, but I think Fnatic will win the tournament. I can't put my finger on why, but looking at how everyone but Robin "flusha" Rönnquist did yesterday, the team chemistry on Fnatic is exemplary.
Truth be told though, it's hard to make a bold prediction with such a great set of matches coming up.
Fnatic plays Immortals tomorrow at 6:00 a.m. EST, while CLG plays SK Gaming at 9:00 a.m. EST. The grand finals takes place at 1:00 p.m. EST
