FNATIC recently made a roster change to their Dota 2 squad, replacing Steve "Xcalibur" Ye with Abed "Abed" Yusop. This move has already yielded good results with FNATIC beating out Mineski to qualify for Dota Summit 8. Another FNATIC player, Jacky "EternaLEnVy" Mao, took to Twitter to explain the move from his point of view.

In an impassioned TwitLonger, EE explains the type of player that Xcalibur is. He talks about Xcalibur being the consummate professional, always looking to improve and never putting his own ego before the team. EE talks about how Xcalibur truly loves the game and the competition surrounding it.

EE goes on to say why this was the right move for the team. Abed was the original choice to round out the FNATIC roster so they knew his play style would mesh with theirs. EE says, "there was a disconnect," when it came to Xcalibur playing with FNATIC. All of this led to the roster change that now sees Xcalibur off of the team.

No doubt Xcalibur will not be without a starting roll for long as the young player is still seen as a top tier mid. It would appear that this move will benefit both sides in the long run, especially with the glowing endorsement from EternaLEnVy.
