Talk about a show of good will. And perhaps even more than just a show of that, to boot.

As wildfires continue to rage across California, victims of the fires have been forced out of their homes and to find other shelter, changing their ways of life to adapt to the horrific destruction that these fires have brought to their homes and cities.

For victims of the Thomas Fire, the story is no different.

The Thomas Fire is the largest of these wildfires. Having started in Ventura County, northwest of Los Angeles, Thomas has already destroyed around 65,000 acres of land, forcing the evacuations of thousands of people as well as putting nearby structures at risk of burning down, according to an article published by the Washington Post.

Seeing the destruction and havoc that has been wreaked by these fires -- especially the Thomas Fire -- Overwatch League team LA Gladiators decided to lend a helping hand.

In a tweet published by their official Twitter account Wednesday afternoon, the OWL team revealed that they had donated to the Ventura County branch of United Way in the stead of the devastating fires, encouraging others to do the same.

"The Gladiators take a stand to defend our home of Los Angeles from these wildfires."

With OWL having just started today in Burbank, the Gladiators chose to not only put their efforts towards the OWL, but also to help out their home in the wake of the devastation these fires have brought to their corner of California.

We're sure that the LA Gladiators' support will go a long way for the Thomas Fire victims, and that their efforts will not be forgotten during this difficult time.
