​Asa Butterfield, best known for his leading role in "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas," "Hugo" and "Ender's Game," sure seems extremely excited for a Dota 2 to come to the U.K.

​​ESL announced Tuesday that ESL One Birmingham will make its roots in the Arena Birmingham on May 23-27. The 20-year-old British actor sent out a slew of tweets expressing support for the first Major to come to U.K.

Butterfield appears to be an avid fan of esports titles with his Twitter account expressing similar excitement for the ​new Smash Bros. title for the Switch and ​wearing apparel from Beyond the Summit, an organization known for its Dota 2 and Smash events.

ESL One Birmingham will be the first Dota 2 Major in UK and will feature two days of group stage play, with the playoffs held in Arena Birmingham from May 25-27. Six teams will be directly invited to ESL One Birmingham and the last six will qualify from regional qualifiers in North America, South America, China, Europe, CIS and Southeast Asia.
