Reviews aren’t in yet for this one, but various previews in the lead-up to launch have been quite positive, touting Time Stranger as potentially the strongest entry in the Digimon Stories series in quite some time. If you’ve always been interested in the series but not taken the plunge, now might be the time.
Battlefield 6 – October 10
In a year when hype for the new Call of Duty game couldn’t be lower, Battlefield 6 is coming out of the gate with a surprisingly big burst of momentum. The open beta earlier in the year saw rave reviews from military shooter fans, and it could see this new entry in the franchise dominate its long-time rival when the game launched early this month.
Little Nightmares 3 – October 10
Little Nightmares 3 adds a new wrinkle to the series of puzzle platformers with their unique art style and horror action. This game is centered around dual protagonists and is designed for co-op play, though solo players will still be able to play, with a CPU taking over their ally. Previews have said that it’s more of what people love from this series.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A – October 16
The highly anticipated follow-up to Pokémon Legends: Arceus is coming this month. The first game was a breath of fresh air to many, thanks to the many changes it made to the standard Pokémon gameplay formula, and Z-A is no different, introducing a whole new battling system that seems to be based loosely on Xenoblade Chronicles’ battle system. There are a lot of reasons to be excited about this one.
Keeper – October 17
Double Fine is back with something uniquely weird in a way only it can manage with Keeper, a game where you play as a sentient lighthouse. This game’s claymation style looks gorgeous, and hopefully it will combine with some creative puzzle-platforming gameplay to make the experience as memorable as it looks.
Ninja Gaiden 4 – October 20
The first proper sequel in the Ninja Gaiden series for over a decade, Ninja Gaiden 4 is looking to bring the action as strong as ever, though in a way that is more accessible to new players. While it will still have those tough-as-nails difficulty modes for fans of the series, it also has modes that turn it down if you’re not used to that level of challenge.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 – October 21
Frontier is back with another sequel for what are far and away the best Jurassic Park video games to ever exist, as you build up your high-tech dinosaur park in a way that hopefully won’t end in a similar disaster to the movies. This game features 80 species of dinosaurs, with expanded creative options reminiscent of Frontier’s other games like Planet Coaster, where your buildings are fully modular and can be customized to look however you want, letting you manage even the finest details of your park.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 – October 21
The cult-hit RPG from 2004 is finally getting a sequel, and you’ll be exploring the streets of 21st-century Seattle as a Nomad vampire. Like the first game, there are various clans you can meet and ally with or fight against as you uncover the mysteries of what it’s like to be a vampire in the modern world.
Dispatch – October 22
In Dispatch, it’s your job to keep the city from falling to ruin as you dispatch various members of a superhero team to deal with the many crises that arise across the city. You’ll have to consider which hero is best to deal with each crisis, while also managing the team back at base, keeping them happy, and making choices that will affect the story.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault – October 23
Moonlighter is a unique and charming indie where you battle through roguelike dungeons at night, then come home and sell your loot in your shop by day. The sequel is set to launch in early access this month, bringing the original game’s 2D pixel-art style into a 3D isometric perspective as you look to grow your trading empire stronger than ever.

The Outer Worlds 2 – October 29
The month of sequels continues, with the second Outer Worlds game from the team at Obsidian. The first game was received well by a lot of people, though some critics thought it lacked depth, but this sequel promises o be bigger and better, so maybe it’ll come out of the gate swinging at the end of the month.
Arc Raiders – October 30
This new sci-fi extraction shooter has already seen a lot of success through its various betas, with a fanbase ready to dive in when it launches to cap off the month. It has all the potential to become a mainstay in a space that has been largely dominated by a single title, hopefully mixing up the genre in a big way.
