Assassin's Creed Shadows DLC: How to start Claws of Awaji

Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ major DLC story is now available, continuing the unfinished story of the main game as Naoe continues to search for the Assassin Tsuyu, her mother. This expansion includes roughly 10 hours of promised new story content along with a new open-world map, the island of Awaji.
We’ll explain all the requirements you need to meet to start this DLC, and where to go to get to the new map.
How to start the Claws of Awaji DLC – AC Shadows
Before you can start the DLC, you need to have completed the main story for AC Shadows, as this follows directly on from it. Once you’ve done that, head to your hideout, and you’ll see the mission News from Hattori Hanzo on your map. Go to the marker and speak to the person there, who tells you about a puppet show happening at a nearby shrine.
Go there and you’ll be taken through the sequence of the puppet show, which sets up the background you need to know for what’s going on on the island of Awaji. Once this puppet show is finished, Junjiro will ask you what you’ll do, and if you select the “go to Awaji” option, you’ll be immediately transported to the new map. If you selected the other option, you can still come back to Junjiro later to go there.
