Death Stranding 2: All hot spring locations
By Ryan Woodrow

If you’re looking to find the hot springs in Death Stranding 2 so you can get a bunch of nice buffs before tackling tough missions, we’ve got you covered for two of the game’s biggest Trophies — Spring Into Life and Written in the Stars — in a single guide.

All hot spring locations - DS2
To kick things off, you need to find the first and only uncovered hot spring in the game. You’ll find it about 10-20 meters straight in front of Motherhood. Take a dip, and when prompted, put the bucket on your head. You’ll find yourself in Heartman’s Lab, where you’ll be given a new PCC option for the Hot Spring Digger, allowing you to hunt for underground springs.
Shortly after, you’ll get a message on your SSS from Ridge Frost of the Eastern Environmental Observatory, which will give you some clues for the first two hot springs you can find out in the world. As the message says, you need to check the other side of the ridge from Eastern Environmental, and check the replies to see that there’s another somewhere near the Chronobiologist.
When equipped, the Hot Spring Digger will tell you there’s a faint signal if you’re facing the right direction. It can pick the springs up from quite a distance away, so feel free to move quickly, and only change direction if you lose the signal.
I’ll post the map locations of the springs below.
Clairvoyant Spring
This purple spring heightens your senses. Head back to Heartman’s Lab after you find it and you’ll get the Ludens Ducks, which you can equip to any spring from the console attached to each spring.
Metallic Spring
This glittering spring repairs your cargo. Head back to report the spring and you get a new bath toy, yuzu fruit. Equip these to a spring to improve your cold resistance.
Digestive Spring
A salty, muddy-looking spring boosts the effects of food and drink. Go back to the lab for some tangerines, which also boost food efficiency when equipped.
Chiral Spring
This spring of molten chiralium temporarily allows you to carry heavier loads. Report it to the lab for chiral tea, which you can equip to boost your max stamina.
Tar Spring
This oily gloop makes it harder for BTs to detect you. If you head here during the night, you can tick off the Written in the Stars Trophy by looking up at the constellations. Go back to the lab for some sweet flag leaves, which also reduce BT detection when equipped to a spring you use. Find this one just downhill from the Tar Therapist.

Healing Spring
These clear waters restore stamina and heal injuries. Go back to the lab and get some apples, which restore blood levels when equipped to a spring
