Death Stranding 2 Mr. Impossible guide — How to find the Tar Twins

Once you’ve finished the main story, Death Stranding 2 still has some secrets for you to uncover. You’ll only be able to find one outpost, Mr. Impossible, after the credits have rolled. You hear about these preppers earlier in the story, a pair of recluse brothers who only deal with legends, sometimes known as the Tar Twins. Here’s how to find them and what you get for maxing out their connection level.

DS2 - How to find Mr. Impossible 

Like with other secret outposts, you need to find some lost cargo for Mr. Impossible before you can interact with their delivery terminal. You’ll find this cargo near the entrance ramp to Terminal Fort Knot. Head outside Terminal Fort Knot and start along the bridge, pinging your cargo scanner, and you’ll see it in the tar below the bridge to your left. Throw a ladder down and you’ll be able to grab it easily. Then you’ve just got to get to the brothers and deliver it.

DS2 - Mr. Impossible missions 

The orders these brothers give you are some of the toughest in the game, but you can make them easier if you bring the right gear. The first one, for example, has a piece of cargo stuck in the rafters of the nearby warehouse — a pain if you’re not prepared, but easy peasy if you bring a sticky gun.

To get maximum connection with the twins, keep fulfilling orders to them and finding their lost cargo, until eventually they ask you to take on the ultimate challenge. This final mission sees you asked to get a piece of cargo from every main enemy camp and return it all back to the brothers within 50 minutes. You circumnavigate the entire map for this one, so make sure you’ve built up the roads and monorail network and it should be a breeze. Just try not to get locked into long battles at each base — get in and out.

• Unlock the full potential of Higgs’s Red Mask, allowing you to become completely invisible to BTs while holding your breath

• Higgs hologram data
• Gold colour 
• PCC Level 3 (this automatically builds shelters and bridges with no material requirement and stars other structures on Level 2)
