Digimon Story: Time Stranger – How long to beat

Digimon Story: Time Stranger is a long game, and it's even longer if you want to complete everything
Bandai Namco

Digimon Story: Time Stranger, the latest game in the Digimon franchise, is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and it’s a pretty big game. Like many JRPGs, there’s a host of dungeons to explore, plenty of cool and adorable creatures to collect, and a bunch of side quests.

In this guide we’ll go over how long it takes to beat Digimon Story: Time Stranger, both for a regular playthrough and for 100% completion.

How long does it take to beat Digimon Story: Time Stranger?

How long you spend in Digimon Story: Time Stranger will depend on a number of factors. If you complete all of the side quests and optional dungeons, try to get every Digimon in the game, and play on a higher difficulty, you’re going to spend more time with the game than if you beeline through the story on the lowest difficulty setting.

With that in mind, we expect the average player to play for about 40-50 hours before the credits roll in Digimon Story:  Time Stranger. This includes all of the main story, most but not all of the side quests, and a decent amount of Field Guide completion, while playing on the normal difficulty mode.

How long does it take to 100% Digimon Story: Time Stranger?

To get 100% completion in Digimon Story: Time Stranger, you’ll need to finish the game on the highest difficulty, collect every Digimon in the Field Guide, complete every side quest, and clear every dungeon. This is quite a challenge, all things considered, and will take a considerable amount of time compared to an average run through the game.

We expect that 100% completion on Digimon Story: Time Stranger will take about 60-80 hours
