Doom: The Dark Ages – All skins and where to find them

Among the many secrets scattered around Doom: The Dark Age’s levels are the different weapon skins you can unlock for your arsenal. Given that your gun is on your screen at all times, these are fun cosmetics to give your Doom Slayer a unique vibe as you’re smashing in the heads of any demon unfortunate enough to cross your path.
Plus, there are a few other skins for your Atlan, Dragon, and the Slayer themselves that you can unlock in other ways. So we’ll run you through all of those too.

Void
The Void Slayer skin is unlocked by pre-ordering the game on any platform.
Divinity – Atlan & Dragon skins
The Divinity Slayer skin, as well as the Atland and Dragon variants, come with the Premium Edition of the game.
Nightmare
Unlock this by beating the game on any difficulty.
Reverent
Unlock this by beating the game on Pandemonium difficulty.
Conqueror
Unlock this by beating the game on Ultra-Nightmare difficulty.
Mastery weapon skins
These are a unique category of skins that can be unlocked across the whole campaign. First, you need to purchase all upgrades for a weapon, then you must complete the challenge that unlocks associated with it. Completing this challenge will unlock an all-gold skin for that weapon.
Chapter 1 – Village of Khalim weapon skins
During the section where you need to destroy the demonic portals, head left as you enter the area with the first portal and clear out the encounter there. At the cliff’s edge in this area is a small lip where you can drop down and land in a cavern below containing the skin.
Chapter 2 – Hebeth weapon skins
As you approach the end of the section inside the facility, you’ll enter a room with a big drop right in front of you. As you turn left to progress, climb the boxes stacked there and you’ll see an entrance into the vents. Follow them through and you’ll drop into an area with the weapon skin.
Chapter 4 – Sentinel Barracks weapon skins
Just before you enter the main palace on route to Dragon’s Den, go past the door to the right and some gold will lead you up a small path. Follow it around and the skin will be on top of the ledge.
Chapter 5 - Holy City of Aratum weapon skins
As you approach the central area with the entrance to the cathedral, dive down on your dragon as far as you can. Kill the two titans in this area and a landing zone will unlock. Follow a trail of gold on the lower level and you’ll see a hole in the wall. Follow this path around and you’ll find the skin at the end.
Chapter 6 – The Siege Part 1 weapon skins
On the far west of the battlefield, you’ll find a cave area where you can climb up a wall to enter it. As you enter, ignore the main puzzle and continue along the path that hugs the wall and you’ll find a door that requires the Secret Key. Open it and the skin is behind it.

Chapter 7 – The Siege Part 2 weapon skins
This is the first skin unlocked by completing one of the level’s challenges. For this one you must kill three or more fodder demons (that’s the very weak demons who die in one hit) with a shield throw five times.
Chapter 9 – Ancestral Forge weapon skins
Collectible skin
After activating the heart of the forge and proceed to the next area. Follow the course along until you reach a section where you need to use your shield to raise a platform to continue. Turn around and look behind you here to see a climbable surface that you need to jump onto when the platform is raised. From here, you can use the shield points to launch yourself between the sections, one of which holds the skin.
Challenge skin
You must find all seven secret areas in the level to complete this challenge and get the skin.
Chapter 10 – The Forsaken Plains weapon skins
Collectible skin
While destroying the Hell Cannons, you’ll spot the secret on a ledge to the right of the upgrade shrine. To reach it, you’ll need to head all the way around to the other side of the map, clear out the Hell Cannon encounter there, then turn left to go up onto the ledge, where the skin will be waiting.
Challenge skin
Destroy two Gore Nests, which can be found hidden in the level, to complete this challenge and get the skin.
Chapter 12 – Sentinel Command Station weapon skins
As you’re walking through the command station to reach Serrat, you’ll find an open room. On one of the walls is a panel that you can smash through with your shield. Follow the trail of gold around and it will lead you to the skin.
Chapter 13 – From Beyond weapon skins
This is a challenge-based unlock that simply requires you to chase down and destroy two Hell Fighter ships during the level.
Chapter 14 – Spire of Nerathul weapon skins
Once in the dragon section, fly down to the objective at the bottom of the map but do not land there. To the side is the entrance to a tunnel. Follow the tunnel and you’ll find a secret landing zone which you can follow all the way through on foot to reach this skin and a Wraithstone.
Chapter 15 – City of Ry’uul weapon skins
Another challenge one. Equip your Dreadmace and smash 25 demons in the face with it over the course of the level.
Chapter 16 – The Kar’Thul Marshes weapon skins
For this challenge, you need to find and destroy all five wolf statues that are scattered around the level. You destroy them by throwing your shield at them.
Chapter 17 – Temple of Lomarith weapon skins
Collectible skin
As you enter the final section of the level with the temple on the hill in front of you, turn left and go into the small portal of water along the wall, which has the skin inside.
Challenge skin
This challenge requires you to find all three of the level’s underwater secrets.
Chapter 18 – Belly of the Beast weapon skins
You’ll need to get right up in the face of Cosmic Baron demons for this one, as you’ll need to parry ten of their attacks to complete this challenge.
Chapter 20 – Resurrection weapon skins
Collectible skin
Near one of the encounter areas is a climbable ledge where one of the demon mortars is firing. Destroy it by shield charging at its weak spot, and it will uncover a hole. Explore this underground area (you will need the Yellow Key) and you’ll find the skin in a small chamber in this underground section.
Challenge skin
There are three cultist circles scattered around this level. Destroy all of them by killing the cultists to complete this challenge and unlock the skin.
Chapter 22 – Reckoning weapon skins
This one may require a bit of set up and timing, as you’ll need to kill two Cosmic Baron demons within five seconds of each other to complete this challenge and unlock the skin.
