Hades 2: How to find the Three Fates
By Ryan Woodrow

One crisis that becomes evident during Hades 2’s main story is that Chronos has kidnapped the Three Fates. You might think that you’d free them upon completing the Dissolution of Time, but that’s not the case. Chronos cast them out, but doesn’t know where to; otherwise, the Fates would’ve been able to use his knowledge to save themselves. This means that it’s up to Melione to find them as the major story task to complete in the Hades 2 post-game.
This is a complicated quest that involves solving a few riddles, so we’ll explain all the steps you need to take to save the Three Fates.

Melione, Help Us – Hades 2
This is the first step on this quest that you’ll get after discovering that Chronos has kidnapped the Three Fates. There isn’t anything you can do about it yet, and this prophecy will change once you defeat Chronos.
Melione, Remember Us – Hades 2
After beating the main story and seeing the credits, the Three Fates will change their message. While they will congratulate you on your victory, they will remind you that they still need to be found. You’re tasked with “investigating the Underworld and the Olympus”. To complete this, complete one full run in either direction, then talk to Moros, and the prophecy changes once more.
Melione, Seek Us – Hades 2
Here, you’re tasked with getting to know six characters, though they aren’t outright named. Here is the list of riddles and who they refer to:
- Seek to know he who is our emissary: Moros
- Seek to know they who created the world: Chaos
- Seek to know he who cast us: Chronos
- Seek to know she who trained you: Hecate
- Seek to know he who rebels against the gods: Prometheus
- Seek to know he who labors for the gods: Heracles
For the most part, this requires deepening your bond with these characters through gifts of Nectar, though the degree to which you need to do this varies from one character to another. For example, we had the requirements for Chaos fulfilled after getting just four hearts, while with Moros we had to completely max-out our bond with him before it was ticked off the list.
The exception to this is Prometheus, who can’t be bonded with, as he’s only encountered as a boss on Mount Olympus. Instead, after a number of encounters (exactly how many is random and depends on what other story dialogue has priority in each encounter) he will talk about the Three Fates, which will fulfill these requirements.
Once you’ve fulfilled all the conditions, do another run, then return and talk to Moros, who will comment on the list of prophecies shaking, after which this prophecy will be changed again.
Melione, Find Us – Hades 2
Now for the final step, and the Fates once again give vague instructions:
“Using our emissary’s gift in the depths of Oceanus, activate it thrice in successive chambers, then purposely return to shadow.”
The “emissary’s gift” referred to is the Engraved Pin Keepsake you get from Moros. Its effect is that, when your HP reaches zero, you get 10 seconds to try and complete the current encounter. If you succeed, your health is restored.
You need to take this Keepsake and head into the underworld until you reach Oceanus. There, you need to let your HP reach zero, but then clear the encounter within ten seconds to save yourself for three chambers in a row. The easiest way to do this is to isolate enemies and ensure only one is left before letting your HP drain.
Once you’ve done this, go into one more chamber and get yourself killed (deactivate anything that gives you Death Defiance to make this easier). If you’ve done everything properly, you will then get a cutscene where Melione meets the Three Fates and they describe the future of the world.
