Hollow Knight: Silksong – How to cross magma
By Ryan Woodrow

Down in the Deep Docks of Hollow Knight: Silksong, you’ll run into a room or two where the floor is entirely covered in magma, and stepping on it will damage you over time. However, as you may have expected, there is a way to combat this, and the solution is surprisingly close at hand. We’ll explain what to need to be able to cross magma, where to get it, and how it works.
How to cross magma – HK: Silksong
For this, you’ll need the Magma Bell trinket, which is equipped in the blue slot on your charm. To get it, you’ll need to speak to the Forge Daughter, who resides around the middle of the Deep Docks, directly up from where you fight a short gauntlet of enemies. There you’ll be able to get her to craft it for you for 110 Rosary Beads and a chunk of material, which you can find around the world or buy from the vendor in Bone Bottom.
Use the nearby bench to equip it, and you’re good to go. This will let you stand and walk on magma, though only for a limited time. If you stay for too long, it will break, and won’t recharge until you stand on normal ground for a few seconds. You can reset the timer before it breaks by jumping though, so it’s not too tricky.
