Hollow Knight Silksong – How to unlock the Hunter's Journal

If you’re something of a completionist, then the Hunter's Journal in Hollow Knight: Silksong is going to be an essential item for you, much like it was in the first game. This is your Monsterpedia, essentially, tracking all of the foes you’ve encountered and defeated across the game, with a bunch of fun lore and flavour text if you defeat enough of a certain enemy type. There are also rewards associated with registering enough monsters in your journal, so it’s worth picking up.

How to get the Hunter's Journal – HK: Silksong

You’ll find the Journal in the Halfway House in Greymoore. This is the area you’ll reach after exploring the Far Fields and unlocking the ability to glide with the Drifter’s Cloak in Silksong. Once you’ve flown up and smashed into Greymoore, head west, and you’ll find the Halfway House along your path, though you’ll have to climb over it to find the entrance.

Once in there, jump up to the top, and you’ll find Nuu, who will give you the journal, as well as a wish for you to register 100 monsters in it. So you’ll be able to come back once you’ve done that and discover what your reward is.
