What do Rosary Strings do? – HK: Silksong
Rosary Strings prevent you from losing Rosary Beads at death. The strings are items that will remain in your inventory upon death, so you don’t have to worry about losing them if you die. In fact, if you die with zero Rosary Beads on you, just strings, then you don’t even really need to recover your corpse if you don’t want to.
Should you break Rosary Strings? – HK: Silksong
As they keep your currency safe, you should only break Rosary Strings when you plan to spend them immediately. Wait until you’re in front of a shop and know exactly what you want to buy before breaking your strings, as that way, there’s no risk of losing them before you can get what you want to buy.
You can break your Rosary Strings at any time from your inventory. Simply select the string, then hold the button prompt to break it.
