That’s no moon — it’s the best Honkai: Star Rail Himeko build, giving you a weapon that makes the Death Star look like child’s play. Himeko follows the Path of The Erudition and deals the Fire DMG in combat, making her well-suited to clear waves of enemies with area-of-effect attacks.

Her Skill, Molten Detonation, is a simple attack against up to three adjacent targets dealing Fire DMG based on her ATK.

Himeko’s Ultimate, Heavenly Flare, uses the Astral Express’ main cannon for an orbital strike, dealing Fire DMG based on Himeko’s ATK to all enemies. Himeko regenerates Energy for each adversary killed in this strike.

That’s not all for her kit, though. She comes with a very useful Talent called Victory Rush, which launches a Follow-Up Attack against all enemies for every three Weakness Breaks inflicted on an opponent, either by Himeko herself or any of her allies. Himeko’s attacks have a chance to inflict Burn on their targets, which in turn increases the Skill DMG they take from Molten Detonation.

Himeko’s Eidolon Levels, which increase if you pull duplicates of her, are useful additions as well. Eidolon 1 boosts Himeko’s SPD after Victory Rush is triggered, Eidolon 2 increases her damage against enemies below 50% of their Max HP. Eidolon 4 provides Himeko with an extra point of charge towards Victory Rush, if her Skill inflicts Weakness Break on an enemy. Finally, Eidolon 6 adds two attacks to her Ultimate, which deal Fire DMG to random enemies.

Although Himeko’s signature Light Cone, Night on the Milky Way, provides fantastic bonuses to her, the optimal choice is a different piece of gear: Before Dawn. Jing Yuan’s Light Cone boosts the wearer’s CRIT DMG as well as Skill and Ultimate DMG. Furthermore, activating their Skill or Ultimate provides them with the Somnus Corpus effect, which gets consumed during their next Follow-Up Attack to bolster its damage.

Honkai: Star Rail – Himeko: best team comps

Himeko excels at defeating waves of weaker opponents thanks to having three different area-of-effect attacks, making her an excellent unit for the Pure Fiction mode.

  • Himeko (Main DPS), Herta (Sub DPS), Robin (Support), Aventurine (Support)

Himeko and Herta have great synergy, often being able to trigger the conditions of each others’ Follow-Up Attacks and thereby clearing entire waves of enemies as if they were automated. In terms of Support, Robin is still the best option for Follow-Up Attack teams thanks to her buffs in this discipline. Aventurine, too, benefits from these and keeps the team safe. This is especially important, as Himeko deals more damage when she’s above 80% of her Max HP.

Jade, Guinaifen, and Topaz are solid Sub DPS characters to go with Himeko. Jade can buff Himeko and let her trigger her own Follow-Up Attacks, while Guinaifen is excellent at inflicting Burn, which in turn increases Himeko’s damage output. Topaz can bolster the damage of the Follow-Up Attacks Himeko uses.

Another potential use for Himeko is in a dual carry set-up with The Herta, where Himeko helps The Herta collect Energy and receives lots of chances to use her Follow-Up Attacks in return.
