Honkai: Star Rail – Hyacine build and ascension guide

Unleash the almighty power of the chonkiest unicorn in the galaxy with the best Honkai: Star Rail Hyacine build. Hyacine is a 5-Star follower of The Remembrance and deals Wind DMG, although she’s first and foremost a healer.

Hyacine’s Basic Attack deals Wind DMG based on her Max HP, while her Skill, Love Over the Rainbow, summons her Memosprite, Little Ica, and heals all allies based on her Max HP.

Her Ultimate, We Who Fly Into Twilight, also summons Little Ica and heals all allies based on her Max HP. In addition, Hyacine enters the After Rain state for three turns, during which she increases the Max HP of all allies based on her own Max HP.

Little Ica’s damage is doubled for two turns whenever they or Hyacine provide healing, which can stack up to three times. Upon being summoned, they immediately restore Energy to her, while disappearing advances Hyacine’s turn forward.

Their Memosprite Skill deals Wind DMG to all enemies equal to a percentage of all the healing done by Hyacine and Little Ica throughout the battle so far, but clears half of that Healing Tally upon use.

Little Ica has 0 SPD and doesn’t appear on the turn order, but will automatically consume its own HP to heal allies. When Hyacine is in the After Rain state, Little Ica uses its Memosprite Skill whenever Hyacine uses an ability.

Their Traces provide the duo with teamwide dispels, a massive CRIT Rate boost, and the ability to transform any SPD above 200 into extra Outgoing Healing.

Hyacine – similar to Lingsha – is something of a “I’m a healer, but…” character, meaning that she’s capable of dealing immense damage. 

Her signature Light Cone, Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky, provides a substantial boost to SPD, helping her exceed 200 and thereby gain more Outgoing Healing, which in turn helps to deal additional damage via Little Ica.

It also consumes the HP of allies whenever the wearer uses a Basic Attack, Skill, or Ultimate, and dishes it out as an instance of Additional DMG following the wearer’s Memosprite’s next attack. It also allows the wearer’s Memosprite to debuff enemies by using its Skill, increasing their damage intake for two turns.

More Energy means that Hyacine can enter After Rain more often, spurring Little Ica into action. CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate are solid filler stats on her.

Best Relic Sets for Hyacine in HSR:

• Warrior Goddess of Sun and Thunder (4) – +6% SPD, the wearer gains Gentle Rain for two turns whenever they or their Memosprite heal allies (can be gained once per turn); +6% SPD for the wearer and +15% CRIT DMG for all allies during Gentle Rain.
• Any combination of Messenger Traversing Hackerspace (2), Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal (2), and Warrior Goddess of Sun and Thunder (2) – +6% SPD x2

Hyacine enters the arena as the best healer for HP-based team compositions, taking up a role similar to Huohuo for Energy-based teams and Lingsha for Break DMG and Follow-Up teams.

• Castorice (Main DPS), Trailblazer (Remembrance) (Support), Tribbie (Support), Hyacine (Support)

Castorice will benefit immensely from Hyacine’s ability to increase the Max HP of the team and Little Ica will be able to somewhat offset the damage Netherwing deals to the team. Tribbie is a fellow HP-based character and will similarly be happy to get an extra serving, while Trailblazer (Remembrance) provides extra damage for the Main DPS.

Hyacine can similarly support characters such as Mydei, Blade, and Jingliu.

Here’s everything you need to know to get Hyacine ascended to the maximum level and upgrade all of her talents.

Hyacine requires the following ascension materials to get to level 80 in addition to the necessary XP:

• Glory-Aspersed Torso x15
• A Glass of the Besotted Era x65

You can collect Fear-Stomped Flesh, Courage-Torn Chest, and Glory-Aspersed Torso from enemies on Amphoreus as well as the Simulated Universe. You can create or exchange them through the Omni-Synthesizer on the Astral Express. They are one of the materials you can easily farm through the Daily Assignments to your characters, making for a steady income of the material, or gain them as a byproduct from farming Golden Calyxes on Amphoreus. 

A Glass of the Besotted Era is dropped by the Stagnant Shadow (Penacony Grand Theater). The best source of Credits are the Golden Calyxes found across the cosmos.

Lost Echo of the Shared Wish is rarer material only gained from the Echo of War (Penacony Grand Theater) domain, while Tracks of Destiny can be obtained during time-limited events, the Embers Exchange, the Nameless Honor, or as a Simulated Universe Points Reward.
