Kingdom Come 2: Side with Mikolai or Bibrek in Horses for Courses

The new Brushes with Death DLC pack in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 doesn’t just add a deep new story to experience with Voyta the painter, you can also undertake a brand new set of horseback challenges in the Horses for Courses quest.
This quest sees two nomads, Mikolai and Bibrek, fighting over which guardian spirit should have a nearby altar dedicated to them. Bibrek is a fan of mounted archery, and wishes to dedicate the altar to Karachin, while Mikolai thinks long-distance horse races are better, and wishes to dedicate the altar to Zamur. In this quest you can choose either nomad to receive a special reward or, if you follow this guide, you can get rewards from both. Just read on for everything you need to know.

Getting both rewards from Bibrek or Mikolai – KCD2
Once you dig into this quest, you’ll find that not all is as it seems. The spirits that both nomads wish to commemorate are their dead relatives, not ancient gods. It’s a deeply personal endeavor for both; they’re on equal standing in this situation.
The first time you are given an option in this situation, the two nomads will stop you from speaking and attempt to bribe you. In the next important dialogue option, select “To both!”
The next important dialogue option is selecting the names for their horses, “First of a Thousand and Tooth”.
Following these successful options, you’ll be given the choice to receive rewards from both of the nomads, which is the best possible outcome. The altar will be renamed Shared Altar.
Bibrek and Mikolai’s horses names – KCD2
When given this option, ensure you select “First of a Thousand and Tooth” as these are the correct names. This will win over both nomads, giving you access to both of their rewards, if you so choose.

Upon completing the quest and pleasing both nomads, you’ll be rewarded with both Zamur’s bridle and Karachin’s chanfron. Zamur’s bridle offers a Stamina increase of 24, while Karachin’s chanfron increases Courage by 4 and Stamina by 8. Unfortunately you can only equip one of these at a time.
In addition to these, you’ll unlock two secret passive perks that can only be accessed at the same time by completing the quest in this way. Airgiyn Tav increases ranged damage while mounted by a solid 10%, while Equestrian Explorer has your mounted stamina depleted 15% slower while also seeing 15% further during fast travel. Very handy.
