Kingdom Come 2 Unveiled: Should you finish or destroy the painting?
By Ryan Woodrow

Unveiled is the final quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Brushes with Death DLC, and it ends with a choice you may not have expected you’d have to make. Voyta spends a lot of tiem in the DLC worrying that this masterwork of his is actually the work of some demon speaking to him in his mind, and while you can quite easily convince him otherwise, you don’t have to.
In the final moments of the DLC you can instead choose to convince Voyta to destroy the painting, rather than finish it, which will lead to a different ending for the DLC. We’ll explain the consequences for each choice and what decision we recommend you make.
If you finish the painting
This is the intended ending for the DLC, as you don’t need to pass a skill check to unlock it. In this, officials from the church will arrive at Voyta’s workshop and take the painting to display it. Voyta will be satisfied that his masterwork is finished, thank you, and give you the Painter’s Skull in thanks, as he doesn’t need it anymore.
If you burn the painting
It will require passing a tricky skill check, but you can get Voyta to destroy the painting, leading to a different ending. In this ending, Voyta burns both the painting and the skull on a bonfire, and while he is a little worried about the consequences of not completing the work he promised the church, he admits his head feels quiet.
However, this means you don’t get the Painter’s Skull, which prevents you from getting the Rest in One Piece achievement.
Which option should you choose?
The only major gameplay difference between the two is the fact that you don’t get the Painter’s Skull. Since this locks you out of an achievement, we recommend you finish the painting. It’s both the easier route and gives you more to do.
