Outer Worlds 2 Brain Benders of Aunty's Choice: How to persuade Westport citizens
By Ryan Woodrow

If you want to get help infiltrating the Vox, then you’ll need to do a favour for the man in charge of Fairfield, but that’s not an easy job. One of the biggest jobs you’ll need to do is convince the residents of Westport, which is under the Protectorate’s control to come and join Fairfield and Aunty’s Choice, something they’re naturally hesitant to do.
You can do this in a fairly straightforward way by sabotaging the town so they don’t have a choice, but a much more peaceful and friendly way to do it is to convince various key citizens of TOWN NAME that they’d be better off in Fairfield. We’ll show you who you need to convince and how to do it.
You need to make sure your crew are looked after though, so make sure you've sorted out Inez's companion quest to decide whether to give Inez a Crabble or Raptidon graft.
How to convince Westport citizens – Outer Worlds 2
There are three key citizens you need to convince.
First is Interim Chief Mechanist Pinckney, who you’ll find just outside the front gate, trying to repair a faulty droid. He’ll express discontent with his job, though he won’t be won over by words straight away. Instead, break into the speaker room and sabotage the speakers there so that they play Aunty’s Choice propaganda.
You’ll then be able to go back to Pinckney, and he’ll be intrigued by the idea of being able to choose his own vocation under the Aunty’s Choice banner. You’ll need to pass a Speech check, but from there, you’ll be able to convince him that it would be better to leave.
Next is Charlton Weintraut, the man to the left of the main plaza as you enter it, with purple gunk all around his mouth. If you have high Speech or Observation skills, you’ll be able to suss out his secret straight away, but if you can’t do that, head down into the abandoned sector just south of the town, find his house, and you’ll discover that he’s addicted to Aunty’s Choice products. You’ll now be able to gift him some and tell him there’s plenty more where that came from in Fairfield, which is enough to convince him.
Finally, you have Curativist Rowe, the doctor on the ground floor of the mansion. Her main issue is the lack of medical supplies. The abandoned sector has a lot of the items she needs in a few of the houses. Gather them and bring them to her, at which point you’ll be able to segue the conversation into the fact that Aunty’s Choice will let her get as many supplies as she needs for the right price. This will be enough to convince her.
With these three convinced, you can return to Vigilant Hogarth and use his citizens’ discontent to convince him that it’s time for them all to head to Fairfield, letting you return and report your success.
