Persona 5: The Phantom X – The best Revelation Cards for each character

The best Revelation Cards for every character in P5X to give your party a big boost
Persona 5: The Phantom X
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Once you unlock Revelation Cards in P5X, team building becomes a lot more complex. With lots of different sets that all synergise in different ways, it can be difficult to pick out what works best for each character, especially once you unlock the Space cards and all the different combinations they offer.

If you need to know more about the mechanic and how to get your hands on more cards, then check out our P5X Revelation Cards explained guide, but here, we’ll help you out by breaking down each character in the game and explaining what Revelation Card sets work best and why.

Best Joker Revelation Cards in P5X

Joker in the character selection menu.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Hindrance
Space Card: Departure

Joker is one of the easiest characters to build, as he’s a straightforward Curse-based sweeper, and the Hindrance set is built specifically for that, boosting Curse damage and giving further boosts to debuffed foes. The Departure combo makes the most of Joker’s sweeping capabilities, boosting his attack by 30% every time he defeats an enemy.

Best Panther Revelation Cards in P5X

Panther in the character selection screen
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Strife
Space Card: Acceptance

Like Joker, Panther is very simple – she does a lot of Fire damage to the entire field at once, which makes the Strife set a no-brainer as it massively boosts Fire damage. Acceptance is the only option for a Space card, as annoyingly, it’s the only one that has a Strife combo, but it is still a good one for Panther, increasing her attack by 8% for each foe on the field, up to 40%.

Best Mona Revelation Cards in P5X

Mona in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Love
Space Card: Acceptance

Mona has a couple of good options. If you want to build him as an offensive unit, then you can do that with the Victory set, but we think Mona is much more useful as a healer, and that makes  Love a must-have, boosting his healing power significantly. You have a couple of options for Space cards too. Faith is good if you want to purely focus on healing, but we decided to go with Acceptance, as it increases Mona’s attacking power after healing, letting you get some decent damage out of him too.

Best Skull Revelation Cards in P5X

Skull in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Courage
Space Card: Meditation

Skull’s mix of Physical and Electric skills gives him a couple of directions to go, but the Space card is what sinch Courage & Meditation as the perfect combo. Courage is a great base, increase Skull’s Physical damage and crit rate, and then Meditation enhanced all his skills at once, increasing both Physical and Electircal damage by 12%, with a further 24% buff if he’s against a solo opponent. It makes this build amazing for bosses – especially those pesky Matador mini-bosses in P5X.

Best Rin Revelation Cards in P5X

Rin in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Hindrance
Space Card: Awareness

Like Joker, Rin is a Curse-based sweeper, so Hindrance is the only way to go. In fact, Rin arguably benefits more from it, as she is better at inflicting debuffs. Where she differs from Joker is in the Space card, as Rin’s affinity for debuffs means she’ll get more use out of Awareness’ buff to attack when targetting a debuffed enemy.

Best Riddle Revelation Cards in P5X

Riddle in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Prosperity
Space Card: Trust

Riddle is a tricky character to get a handle on, but powerful once you know what you’re doing. She  is one of the best buffing units in the whole game, and this combination is designed to get the most out of that, without worrying too much about having her deal damage. Prosperity will help her defensively while giving you a bit more attacking power thanks to a boosted Highlight guage, and then you throw on Trust’s party-wide damage boosts whenever Riddle buffs an ally and you have a setup that quickly snowballs in power.

Best Mirian Revelation Cards in P5X

Mirian in the character select screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Love
Space Card: Faith

Mirian is an extremely powerful healing unit, able to cure your allies’ debuffs as well as restore their health, so the Love and Faith combo makes perfect sense, though it isn’t her only option. The boost to healing skills that Love gives – further compounded by the Faith combo – are the best way to use her, but all of Mirian’s damaging and healing skills are calculated using her Max HP, so it’s possible to increase her capacity by using the Control set instead.

Best Bui Revelation Cards in P5X

Bui on the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Renewal
Space Card: Growth

Bui is a strong Electric-based attacker and uses interesting mechanics where she can follow up on her allies’ attacks, which play strongly into the Renewal and Growth combo. Renewal’s boost to Electric damage is simply enough, but when combined with the second effect of increasing the party’s Electric damage every time an ally uses an Electric skill, things suddenly become a lot stronger. It allows you to pair Bui with someone like Closer or Skull and have these units constantly buffing each other as Bui follows up every one of their attacks with an increasingly powerful strike.

Best Cattle Revelation Cards in P5X

Cattle in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Love
Space Card: Meditation

While Cattle can be a pretty strong Fire-based attacker, if you have Panther then there’s really no need to use him in such a role. Instead, we focused on making Cattle a powerful healer, which is why – like Mona – we’ve picked Love as his main set. We switched in Meditation as the Space card though as this lets you focus on damage first before switching to healing later in the battle, while Mona works the other way around.

Best Closer Revelation Cards in P5X

Closer in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Renewal
Space Card: Growth

Elemental sweepers are pretty easy to build, and Closer is no exception. Renewal’s boost to Electrical damage makes it the only logical choice for her, though you do have options when it comes to Space cards. If you plan on running her alongside someone like Skull, then Trust’s buffs are very useful, but we think Growth’s boost to resonance damage is more useful in more situations, making it the better pick.

Best Soy Revelation Cards in P5X

Soy in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Control
Space Card: Departure

As all of Soy’s skills deal damage proportional to his Max HP, Control is the easiest way to increase his damage potential, giving a flat boost to HP and throwing on an extra 8% of his HP as damage too. To help with this, Departure’s combo with Control will see an enemy’s defenses drop every time Soy hits them with a skill, further increasing Soy’s damage output.

Best Mont Revelation Cards in P5X

Mont in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Opulence
Space Card: Growth

As an Ice-based attacker, Opulence is the easy pick for Mont’s base set, and the boost to resonance damage doesn’t hurt either. You have a couple of good options for Space cards. Meditation boosting her critical damage is nice, but Growth’s increase to Ice damage is a lot more consistent, which is why we picked it.

Best Moko Revelation Cards in P5X

Moko in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Prosperity
Space Card: Departure

As a character that should mostly be focusing on buffs and debuffs instead of damage, Prosperity is a simply way to help her buff the party even further, and tacking on Departure brings that even further into the forefront. As her main skill strikes every foe on the field, you can bust it out early to strike at weaknesses and then immediately buff the entire party’s damage output.

Best Leon Revelation Cards in P5X

Leon in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Truth
Space Card: Awareness

As a Nuke-based character, Leon thrives on dealing Technical damage to foes with ailments, so this set leans into that to skyrocket his damage potential. Truth gives a base increase to Nuke damage and increases damage against foes with ailments. This second buff is then further increased when combined with Awareness, making Leon surprisingly powerful.

Best Yuki Revelation Cards in P5X

Yuki in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Peace
Space Card: Acceptance

Yuki is a hard character to get the best out of. However, both her damaging and buffing skills hinge of her defense stat, so Peace buffing that is the easiest way to increase her potential, even if she can’t take advantage of the buff to shields until her Hidden Ability hits Level 4. Acceptance compounds this, boosting her defense even further every time she takes damage.

Best Key Revelation Cards in P5X

Key in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Control
Space Card: Awareness

As Key is a Fire-based attacker, you might think the reliable Strife and Acceptance combo is the way to go, and while that is a solid option, Key’s greatest potential is elsewhere. All of Key’s damage is based on his Max HP so that means, like Soy, we go with control to buff that as much as possible. However, unlike Soy, we go with Awareness as the Space card because that increases the party’s Fire damage by 6%, and a further 6% if a foe is burning, meaning you can use him in conjunction with the likes of Panther to deal huge damage.

Best Fleuret Revelation Cards in P5X

Fleuret in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Victory
Space Card: Harmony

Fleuret is a fairly simple Wind-based attacker, so Victory’s buff to Wind damage is the way to go, plus it comes with a 25% chance to deal extra damage with every strike, which is perfect for Harmony as the Space card – and in fact, is the only Space card that combos with Victory. It will increase the damage the targetted  foe takes every time Victory’s bonus effect triggers. It’s not super reliable, but when it hits, the whole party benefits.

Best Sepia Revelation Cards in P5X

Sepia in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Hindrance
Space Card: Awareness

As we’ve already covered with Joker and Rin, Hindrance is the only real option for a Curse-based attacker like Sepia. Like Rin, Sepia specializes more in debuffs – to quite a strong degree – so the Awareness buff is the easiest choice.

Best Okyann Revelation Cards in P5X

Okyann in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Prosperity
Space Card: Growth

The Navigators are somewhat limited in terms of finding useful buffs in Revelation Cards, but that does make them quite simple to build. Okyann centers around buffing the party’s attack and that is easily lent into. Prosperity is just a solid all-round buff for a Navigator to have, but the combo with Growth is where it really shines. It ups the maximum number of attack buffs allowed on a character at once from 3 to 5, letting Okyann use her skills to get her team stronger than ever before.

Best Puppet Revelation Cards in P5X

Puppet in the character selection screen.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

Heavens Set: Peace
Space Card: Faith

Puppet is all about applying shields to allies, and there is only one combination that does anything with shields. Peace gives an 18% increase to shields, which is a great start. Then, when combined with Faith, each time shield is applied, your allies will also get a defense boost, letting you wall opponents with ease.
