Persona 5: The Phantom X – Best Mirian/Minami build, team comp, and Revelation Cards
By Ryan Woodrow

You’d be hard pressed to find a better healer in P5X than Mirian, in the current version of the game at least. Her ability to dish out big healing to multiple targets at once makes her fantastic at keeping the party alive, and it’s pretty much always worth giving a party slot over to her when you’re heading into a tough boss fight.
There’s always greater potential to be had though, which is why we’ve put this Miriam build guide together to explain how to get the most out of this unit, which we ranked very highly in our P5X character tier list.

What does Diagnosis do?
Diagnosis is Minami’s unique mechanic, which she uses to enhance her healing skills, most notably Compassionate Cure, which, with a maximum of 2 Diagnosis stacks, can heal the whole party at once. Minami gains a Diagnosis stack whenever she uses either Nurse’s Light or Healing Grace, as well as whenever her turn starts with an ally below 70% HP.
How to use Mirian in P5X
Use Healing Grace twice for party-wide regeneration
While you should always prioritize allies that need healing most, if you can, make sure you use Healing Grace twice at the start of a battle, as then the entire party will have 2 turns to benefit from the regeneration effect that it grants, which can occasionally free Mirian up to do other things.
Only use Nurse’s Light to exploit weaknesses
Mirian isn’t an offensive character, so you shouldn’t bother trying to make her one. Nurse’s Light is a single-target Bless-element attack that can do decent damage, but never enough to be worth it compared to the incredible work she can do as a healer. If you want to save her SP, then just have her use a standard or gun attack instead. Only use this attack if you need to exploit a Bless weakness.
Only use Compassionate Cure when everyone needs it
The goal with Mirian is to build up two stacks of Diagnosis so that she can heal the entire party at once and raise their max HP with Compassionate Cure. However, don’t just use it the moment you get the Diagnosis stacks; wait until you’re actually in a more dire situation where party-wide healing is required, otherwise it’ll be a waste. You can always keep using Healing Grace in the meantime.
Best team composition for Mirian in P5X
As a support character, you don’t need to build your entire team around Mirian. The point is to bring her into a team to help them out, rather than the other way around. That said, this is a good format to follow:
- Mirian
- Soy
- Any DPS character
- Puppet
Soy is the one ally that Mirian can really rely on, and his ability to buff her max HP will make her healing skills more powerful, which will, in turn, make Soy’s attacks more powerful when she gives out her max HP buffs. Soy can also use his taunting skills to keep the heat off Mirian. They are one of the most synergistic duos currently in the game.
Puppet is also recommended, as if you’re using Mirian, then chances are you need defensive options, and Puppet is currently the only Navigator good for that. The last slot can be filled by any DPS character, depending on what the fight requires. A character like Joker or Panther will do very well in a team like this.
But as we said, Mirian’s role as a healer is to slot in where needed, so you shouldn’t be afraid to put her on different teams.
Best weapon for Mirian in P5X
The progression for weapons in this game is pretty simple: the more stars a weapon has, the better it is both in terms of stats and its abilities, so you should always try and pull the best weapon possible when building a character. Here are the stats and effects of all of Mirian’s weapons:
- Medkit (2-star) – HP 110, ATK: 24, DEF: 17 – Increase Max HP by 11.3%
- Portable Trauma Unit (3-star) – HP: 132, ATK: 29, DEF: 21 – After using a skill on an ally, restore 3% of max HP at the start of the turn for 1 turn.
- Hymn of Life (4-star) – HP: 176, ATK: 38, DEF: 28 – Increase healing effect by 8.7%. Increase continuous healing effect by 28.5%. After using a healing skill, 26% chance to grant Blissing to main target.
- Angel Heart (5-star) – HP: 220, ATK: 48, DEF: 35 – Increase max HP by 30%. When Minami has Diagnosis, increase healing effect by 10%. When spending Diagnosis, increase party’s damage by 25% for 1 turn.
Best Revelation Cards for Mirian in P5X
There is a set of Revelation Cards perfect for Mirian, as explained in our guide to the best Revelation Cards for each character in P5X. That combination is Love & Faith. Love gives a 9% boost to healing effect, plus a further 23% if the targeted ally has less than 50% HP. Combine that with Faith, and you get a 1% boost to the healing effect for every 800 HP Mirian has.
