She is an offensive-focused support, with her skills centering around maximizing the attacking power and damage potential of her allies, making her perfect for a DPS team.

We’ll break down everything you need to know about Phoebe so you can get the best build possible, including all of her skills, how best to use them in battle, her best teammates, weapons, and Revelation Cards.

What are Mixers and Cocktails?

Phoebe standing on the battlefield.
Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

As Phoebe is a bartender in the real world, her unique battle mechanic is all about Cocktails. It’s a system that encourages you to focus your party around a single element for the greatest effects.

The way it works is that every time an ally attacks, it adds one Mixer of the element they attacked with. Once Phoebe has three Mixers, she makes a Cocktail that can be in three tiers:

  • Basic – All 3 Mixer elements are different
  • Standard – 2 Mixer elements are the same
  • Tailor-Made – All 3 Mixer elements are the same

The tier of Cocktail will determine how big a boost they offer when Phoebe uses a skill that consumes them, with Basic being the lowest, and Tailor-Made being the highest.

How to use Phoebe in P5X

Use a Mono-type team

As you may have gathered from the Mixer system, Phoebe does better the more characters of the same element you have around. Ideally, you want either three characters of the same element, or two plus a Wonder Persona that matches, that way you can keep building up Tailor-Made Cocktails for the biggest boosts, while still having a free party slot if you need someone like Mirian around for healing.

Focus Charming Gaze on your strongest DPS

While buffing the whole party can be useful, generally speaking, there is one DPS that you want to maximize. Someone like Queen on a Nuke team or Panther on a Fire team is perfect for this, as they can already deal huge damage, so buffs from Phoebe, plus damage-healing, make them even better.

Best team composition for Phoebe in P5X

As explained above, you want to focus on Mono-type teams for Phoebe, which means you have a lot of options, as it’s possible to get full teams for a fair few elements. However, right now, the strongest cores are a Nuke team with Queen, Vino, and Leon; a Fire team with Panther, Cattle, and Key; or a Curse team with Joker, Rin, and Sepia. However, once Chord is added to the game, there will also be a very strong Electric option too.

Best weapon for Phoebe in P5X

The progression for weapons in this game is pretty simple: the more stars a weapon has, the better it is both in terms of stats and its abilities, so you should always try and pull the best weapon possible when building a character. Here are the stats and effects of all of Phoebe’s weapons:

  • Dancing Cane (2-stars) – HP: 92; ATK: 29; DEF: 16 – Increase Attack by 11.3%
  • Peafowl Cane (3-stars) – HP: 110; ATK: 35; DEF: 19 – At the start of battle, 40% chance to get 1 Tailor-Made Cocktail and 60% chance to get 1 Standard cocktail.
  • Starrynight Soothsayer (4-stars) – HP: 147; ATK 47; DEF: 25 – Increase Attack by 12%. After using a skill, increase main target’s damage by 4.8% for 2 turns. If this skill spends Cocktails, increase damage by 3.6% more.
  • Moonlit Feather (5-stars) – HP: 184; ATK: 58; DEF 32 – Increase Attack by 30%. For each Cocktail spent, randomly grant 1 of the following effects to party: Increase Attack by 6% for 2 turns; Increase Damage Dealt by 5% for 2 turns; Increase Critical Rate by 4% for 2 turns

Best Revelation Cards for Phoebe in P5X

Phoebe has two sets that are good for her, but if you’re playing properly and focusing on mono-type teams, then Power & Harmony are your best options. This gives a flat boost to Phoebe’s Attack, and a stacking buff, which all increase the power of her skills, and the Harmony pair increases the party’s attack for every unit of the same element.
