Persona 5: The Phantom X update roadmap

If you’ve already reached the end of the story content in the current version of P5X or just can’t wait to get your hands on new Phantom Thieves, then don’t worry, as updates are inbound very quickly. The current roadmap for P5X has updates coming to the global version a lot quicker than they did for the Chinese version of the game, so you’ll have more content than you know what to do with soon enough.

They're also being numbered differently. For example, in the Chinese version, the two summer updates were versions 2.1.1 and 2.1.2, while in the global version they're 2.1 and 2.2, so we'll break down the numbering too so you're crystal clear.

Update 2.3 - October 23

This update will bring us the first original male 5-star unit since P5X launched in Mesa, as both of the other two were Persona 5 cast members. We'll leave you to decide what that says about the game's audience. Aside from that, this update will bring us the second of four parts for Chapter 3 of the game's main story, so you don't want to miss it.

Update 2.4 - November 6

It's been a good while since we last got a new member from the Phantom Thieves of Hearts in the game, but this is worth the wait, as Futaba (Oracle) is far and away the best Navi unit in the game up until now. This also means we'll be getting a new chapter of the Persona 5 crossover story, taking us through Futaba's pyramid Palace from the story. Also, this update may be the third part of the Chaper 3 main story as it was in the Chinese version, though that is yet to be officially confirmed.

Update 2.5 - November 20

Well after not getting any original male 5-star Phantom Idols, we've got two in a month, with Cherish, a defensive focused unit that shields his allies. Aside from that, not much is known yet about this update, though it's worth saying that if 2.4 doesn't give us the next main story phase, this update likely will.

Update 2.6 - December 4

The last update before we hit 3.0, this update will give us the next half of Chapter 3 of the Persona 5 crossover story, this time recapping Okumura's Palace, as this update will also add Haru (Noir), which rounds out our core eight from the central cast of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, though there are still a couple more characters to come. It will also finally give us a Psy-based DPS character, which we desperately need on the roster.
