Palworld breeding guide: How to breed Pals
By Ryan Woodrow

Palworld puts a big emphasis on catching and collecting multiple Pals of each species, but roaming the wilds and throwing balls isn’t the only way to get new ones. If you have a male and female of any Pal species then you can breed them together to create an egg.
We’ll explain how breeding works in Palworld, and what you need to get as many eggs as possible.
How to breed Pals in Palworld
To get started, you need the Breeding Farm, which you can find on Level 19 of the tech tree. It’s a pretty big building so make sure there’s room in your base, and to craft it you’ll need:
- 100 Wood
- 20 Stone
- 50 Fiber
Once you’ve got that, you need to make some cake, because Pals won’t breed unless there is cake. I don’t know why. Either way, you can create cake in a cooking pot or better using the following ingredients:
- 5 Flour
- 8 Red Berries
- 7 Milk
- 8 Eggs
- 2 Honey
Most of this is pretty easy to get. Berries and the wheat needed for flour can be farmed at your base, milk is produced by Mozzarina in a ranch, eggs are produced by Chikipi in a ranch, and honey is produced by Beegarde in a ranch. The good news is that once you’ve put your cakes in the breeding farm, they will no longer decay – so they’ll last forever in there until they’re used.
Now you can throw a male and female of any two Pals into the Breeding Farm and they will eventually create an egg. The logic as to which Pal pairings will create what offspring is still being worked out, but breeding two of the same species will always provide and offspring off that species – unless they have a fusion, then there is a chance they will produce that instead.
This is also how you can create Pals with specific stats or the perfect traits, which can help you do things like create the fastest mount in Palworld.
