Palworld’s Tides of Terraria update has added a bunch of cool crossover content from the 2D survival crafting RPG. While the game’s Terraria-themed dungeon features the game’s first boss, the Eye of C’thulhu, there is a way to tackle the game’s final boss, the Moon Lord. This is one of the toughest fights in all of Terraria, and it’s no pushover in Palworld either.

We’ll explain how to summon the Moon Lord, some strategies you can use to defeat it, and what you get as a reward for doing so.

First, you need to head over and complete the Terraria dungeon. Once you’ve defeated our caught the Eye of C’thulhu, two golden chests will spawn by the exit of the dungeon, one of which will contain the schematic for the Celestial Sigil, which you can then craft with 100 Hallowed Ingots, which you should definitely have if you’ve completed the Terraria dungeon as everything drops them in plentiful amounts.

Once you’ve crafted the sigil, it works the same as any other raid boss. You must build the Summoning Altar that you can unlock at Level 32 on the tech tree and insert the sigil, then activate the altar to summon the boss.

How to defeat the Moon Lord in Palworld

The Moon Lord is summoned at Level 50 with 422,500 HP, but it’s not as simple as going all out on it. For one thing, the Moon Lord is unique in that it doesn’t have an elemental type, meaning there is no way to deal super-effective damage to it, though that also means it can’t deal super-effective damage against you. So, it’s just a case of unleashing all the best Pals you have in your base to help you in this fight.

It also has some unique fight mechanics that Terraria players will be familiar with. During the first phase, you will need to target the eyeballs that sit in the palms of both hands and its forehead. These have their own health bars, and damaging them also lowers the Moon Lord’s health. Once you’ve destroyed all three eyes, you must target the heart to kill it once and for all.

Can you catch the Moon Lord in Palworld?

Unfortunately, no, you cannot obtain the Moon Lord in Palworld. It is a little disappointing considering every other Terraria mob added to the game is catchable, but then again, when you consider the size of this C’thulhu-like beast, maybe it’s for the best that such a power is out of our reach.
