Palworld: How to recruit Zoe and Grizzbolt

With the Tides of Terraria Palworld update now live, one of the game’s most popular characters is finally recruitable without the need for any glitches. Zoe and her Grizzbolt can now become your allies if you complete her questline in Palworld, which requires completing a few tasks that might be challenging for someone early on in the game.
We’ll explain what the requirements to recruit Zoe are, where you can find her, and walk you through all her missions in the lead up to recruiting her.

How to recruit Zoe
The only prerequisite to unlocking this questline is defeating Zoe and Grizzbolt at the Tower of the Rayne Syndicate, which you should be able to do fairly early on. Once you’ve done that, head to the Desolate Church fast-travel point, and you’ll find Zoe in the ruin there. Talk to her and she’ll give you your first quest: you must catch a Grizzbolt.
Catching a Grizzbolt for Zoe
Grizzbolt can only be found in Wildlife Sanctuary No. 1, which you can find across the ocean directly south of the starting island. Trespassing there will get you a wanted level, so make sure you aren’t seen by any of the guards. To complete this quest, return to Zoe with your Grizzbolt summoned. Just be careful, when we tried this, our Grizzbolt kept seeing Zoe as hostile and would attack her, so you have to be quick when talking to her. If you do accidentally KO Zoe, then just wait until the next in-game morning and she will respawn.
Defeat 5 Free Pal Alliance members
For her second quest, Zoe will ask you to take out some members of the Free Pal Alliance, one of the game’s many factions. From the Desolate Church, the easiest place to find them is across the Bridge of the Twin Knights to the north, as Free Pal Alliance members spawn all over that area. Return to Zoe once you’ve done it for your next quest.
Find Zoe’s Tattered Momento
Head northeast to the Fort Ruins and just down the stairs from the fast travel point you’ll find a tattered blanket on the floor next to the ruined walls. Pick it up and take it to Zoe to finally earn her trust and have her join your team.
How to use Zoe & Grizzbolt in battle
Zoe & Grizzbolt will automatically be put into your Palbox upon finishing the last quest at Level 1. From there, you can retrieve them and use them like any other Pal for work in your base, as a companion in battle, or even to ride on top of Grizzbolt alongside Zoe.
Can you get Zoe on her own?
It’s impossible to separate the Zoe & Grizzbolt Pal you get through the quests, but if you just want Zoe on her own, then you can get that by catching her in a Pal Sphere. You’ll need to damage her a bit, but she can be caught like any other human in the game, and will respawn at the Desolate Church even after being caught.
