With the Palworld Tides of Terraria update there’s a new mechanic that can help make your Pals even stronger: trust. The more time you spend with your Pal and fight alongside them, the more they’ll come to like you, and as a result, they’ll get boosts to all of their stats, making them your ultimate companions.

We’ll explain how trust works, exactly what it affects, and how you can raise it easily with Kinship Peaches.

What does Pal trust do?

The more your Pals trust you, the stronger they’ll get; it’s really that simple. As their trust level increases, so too with the boost they get to their attack and defense stats. You can check your Pals’ summaries whenever you want and hover over their stats to see how big of a boost the stat is getting. The bonus varies depending on the Pal and its level, though, so it’s hard to nail down consistently.

How to raise a Pal’s trust level

Having a Pal in your party will raise its trust level over time. There’s still some testing to be done, but it potentially goes up a lot faster if you’re actively doing stuff while the Pals are in your party too. Pal trust maxes out at Level 10, so once you’ve reached that threshold, they’re as strong as they’re going to get.

However, Pals can also get a big boost to trust when they eat a Kinship Peach.

There are two ways to get a Kinship Peach. Firstly is through the bounty officer in Small Settlement. There, you can exchange bounty tokens for the peaches.

Second is by clearing out hostile bases, as the boss chest for every base will contain one Kinship Peach.
