Pokémon Legends Z-A: All evolution stone locations

There is a long list of Pokémon in Legends: Z-A that require stones to evolve. You can check out the full list of stone evolution Pokémon in Legends ZA at that link, but before you worry about that, you need to find the stones in the first place. While every stone can eventually be bought from the stone emporium, several of them don’t appear in its stock until the postgame, so if you want some of ZA’s coolest Pokémon sooner than that, you’ll need to know where to find them.

We’ve put together this guide showing you the locations where you can pick up every evolution stone in Pokémon Legends Z-A.

Fire Stone location

The Fire Stone is purchasable from the Stone Emporium from the start of the game.

Water Stone location

The Water Stone is purchasable from the Stone Emporium from the start of the game.

Leaf Stone location

The Leaf Stone is purchasable from the Stone Emporium from the start of the game.

Thunder Stone location

The Thunder Stone is purchasable from the Stone Emporium from the start of the game.

Ice Stone location

The Ice Stone spawns on the southeastern edge of the roof of the long shopping plaza in Rogue Sector 4, northwest of Wild Zone 3.

It will be added to the Stone Emporium’s stock once you’ve completed Main Mission #39.

Dusk Stone location

The Dusk Stone spawns in two places. First is on a street corner between Quasartico Inc. and the Magenta Pokémon Center, just northeast of Magenta Sector 8.

The second is on a rooftop along the South Boulevard, just south of Restaurant Le Nah.

It will be added to the Stone Emporium’s stock once you’ve completed Main Mission #39.

Dawn Stone location

There are two Dawn Stone spawn locations. The first is in Rouge Sector 1. Go across from the Rouge Pokémon Center and through a small gap where you have to smash some rocks. You can then climb up the scaffolding to find the stone.

The second is across the road in Rouge Sector 2, on the roof of the shopping plaza. It’s tucked away in a little corner north of the big glass dome, against a wall with a ladder.

It will be added to the Stone Emporium’s stock once you’ve completed Main Mission #39.

Shiny Stone location

The Shiny Stone also has two spawns. The first is in Magenta Sector 3, in a small courtyard that can only be reached by going across a series of rooftops. Start at Café Gallant, then head west to the elevator up onto the rooftops there. Follow them around and across a bridge over the street to get to the building with the courtyard you can drop into.

The second is in the Vert Sector, behind a set of houses on South Boulevard, northeast of Racine Construction. Opposite some scaffolding is a lone building that you can climb up, and the Shiny Stone is behind a chimney.

It will be added to the Stone Emporium’s stock once you’ve completed Main Mission #39.

Moon Stone location

The Moon Stone spawns in two locations. The first is in Magenta Sector 3. Start in the same place as for the first Shiny Stone and progress along the same path. Along the first row of rooftops, the Moon Stone is in front of a chimney.

The second is in Rouge Sector 7. Climb up the south face of the keyhole-shaped building, and in the corner, there are some brambles that need breaking with either a “cutting” move or a fire-type move. Break those to access the Moon Stone.

It will be added to the Stone Emporium’s stock once you’ve completed Main Mission #39.

Sun Stone location

The Sun Stone is in Bleu Sector 4. Use the elevator on Estival Avenue to get onto the rooftop, immediately turn left, and go up the ladder. Next, turn right and drop onto the next rooftop, where you’ll find the Sun Stone next to a glowing marker on the corner of the roof.

It will be added to the Stone Emporium’s stock once you’ve completed Main Mission #39.
