Pokémon Legends Z-A: Klefki’s Lost Key walkthrough

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is filled with dozens of side quests – over 100 in fact – and some of them are more complex than others. While some side quests are made up of a single battle or fetching a Pokémon, others are more riddle-like and require a little bit of detective work. 

One such quest is Side Mission #106, Klefki’s Lost Key, which has you using a series of clues to track down a lost key and return it to its owner. In this guide we’ll go over where to find the lost key in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and the rewards for doing so. 

Klefki’s Lost Key walkthrough – Legends ZA 

Klefki’s Lost Key is Side Mission #106, and can be obtained by talking to Cadena, who’s waiting near Hotel Richissime. This mission is locked behind story progress, and requires that you have completed the Lysandre Lab section of the game during Main Mission #45. 

Cadena will tell you that her Klefki lost a key while she was out on the town, giving a few details as to where she went on the day it was lost. She says that on the day she lost the key, she visited a hair salon, then went to a cafe, after which she battled on the battle court behind said cafe. 

There is one location that fits these requirements. There is a cafe called Cafe Classe in Vert Sector 4, just north of a hair salon and across the road from the Vernal Pokémon Center. Behind that cafe is a battle court. 

Fly to the Vernal Pokémon Center, or Cafe Classe if you’ve visited it before, and head south before reaching an alleyway across from the entrance to Wild Zone 12. Enter the alleyway and you’ll immediately see a large glowing sparkle on the ground, and interacting with that sparkle will initiate a cutscene that finishes the quest. 

Your reward for finishing Klefki’s Lost Key is 5000 Poké Dollars and a Nugget, which can be sold for 5000 Poké Dollars.
