How to get the Sacred Sword and find the jizo statues in Silent Hill f

The Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f is a powerful, unbreakable weapon you can only acquire in your second playthrough. While corrupted by some malignant energy, the sword makes some of the tougher combat sections much easier, thanks to its high damage output, special skills, and its ability to regenerate weapon degradation. 

In this guide I’ll talk you through how to get the Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f’s New Game Plus mode and talk you through its abilities. 

What is the Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f?

The Sacred Sword is a powerful weapon that regenerates its durability whenever you use other weapons, allowing you to switch between it and the rest of your arsenal for the entire playthrough. Here are its abilities:

• While sheathed, the Sacred Sword recovers durability as you attack with other weapons.
• You can’t Focus Attack, but holding Focus automatically blocks one strike and knocks you out of Focus.
• When wielding, you can counter at any time, even in the middle of an attack.

How to get the Sacred Sword

To get the Sacred Sword you have to find four offerings and place them at the foot of four jizo statues. While the order doesn’t necessarily matter, you’ll find it easier to do them in the order I’ve written them in below, as that’s when you’ll first come across the items and statues in the story. 

Jizo 1

The Faded Bride Doll is inside the journalist’s house, which opens up for the first time in New Game Plus. It is located east of the first shrine you pass, and Hinako should comment that the door is open. Inside you’ll find a key and some notes about a treasure hunt, with various boxes hidden around the house. The one you need is in the pantry. 

The jizo statue is further down the road from that house to the west. 

Jizo 2

Find the Rusted Flask at Sakuko’s shrine to the north of the fields on the way to Rinko’s house. 

Place the flask at the jizo statue on the northern road of the fields below the shrine, directly south of where you found the Rusted Flask. 

Jizo 3

The Broken Japanese Geta Sandal can be found by turning left after the stairs just before Ebisugaoka Middle School. Turn immediately left and left again along a short dead end path.

The jizo statue is directly east of there if you backtrack down the stairs. At the bottom of all the flights, you’ll find another set of stairs taking you up and right. You’ll find the jizo by the side of the house up there.

Jizo 4

The Cracked Hibachi Brazier can be found behind Shu’s house. 

You have to take it back along the western path, where you’ll find the jizo statue about halfway across.

Jizo 5

For the final offering you need to find your father’s knife. The jizo statue itself is next to a building almost directly east of Shu’s house. 

The knife is stuck in a tree behind the building very close by to the east of that.

To get the Sacred Sword, you need to backtrack fairly far west of Shu’s house to the sacred tree, where you’ll find the sword at its base.
