Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar – How to catch bugs

Bugs are a decent source of income in the early stages of Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, and if you can catch enough to improve their quality, you can get your hands on some quite valuable ones. However, you may not know how to get your hands on them, as they’ll run away whenever you get near.

How to catch bugs – SoS: Grand Bazaar
Catching bugs is actually quite simple; you don’t need a tool or anything. Just run up to the bug while spamming the interact button, and unless you get a little unlucky with how quickly it reacts, you’ll normally be able to grab it. The exception to this is butterflies, for which you need to run, jump, and grab. This makes it a little trickier, as if you time your jump wrong, you’ll miss the window and it will escape, but you should get the hang of it in a few tries.
How to increase your bug’s rating – SoS: Grand Bazaar
To get a better star rating on your bug, you need to visit the Bug Sprite, who spends most days hanging out on the roof of the cafe in the center of town. You can get up there either by jumping from the cliff behind the cafe or by using a nearby bouncepad and gliding over.
Give her bugs and you’ll increase her level, earning you Happiness Points every level, and improving the star rating of every bug you catch by half a star every four levels.
