Tainted Grail: Where to find Mandrake
By Ryan Woodrow

Like any game with an alchemy system, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon will ask you to brew potions or hand over ingredients for quests with no warning, and some of them can be a real pain to find if you’re not lucky enough to have already stumbled across what you need. One of the worst offenders in Tainted Grail is the Mandrake, which is required at the All-Mother Shrine if you want to receive the blessing.

Where to find Mandrake
The easiest way to get Mandrake is to buy it, as it’s relatively cheap, provided you’re not at the very start of the game. Jann Heber, the apothecary in the castle in the Horns of the South is the easiest merchant to visit as he has a reliable stock of five Mandrake on him when his shop refreshes. Broc is another good option, although perhaps not for long, as you may have to kill him as part of a side quest chain depending on what choices you make.
If you insist on seeking it out yourself, though, you can find a patch of it just west of the Abandoned Village fast travel point, at the edge of the fields near the rocks.
