Umamusume: How to get Corner Connoisseur

Corner Connoisseur is a potent acceleration skill in Umamusume that’s not only very useful for the upcoming Cancer Cup, but also needed to complete a mission in the event Tracen Special: Training the Trainer.

How to obtain Corner Connoisseur in Umamusume

There are a couple of ways to obtain Corner Connoisseur. Two Umamusume possess it as an inherent skill and therefore always have access to it, as long as you upgrade the characters to the necessary level:

• Oguri Cap
• Air Groove (Wedding)

If you don’t have either of these Umamusume on the necessary level, there is one Support Card that will also provide you with Corner Connoisseur: [Breakaway Battleship] Gold Ship SSR gives you a hint for the skill as part of the event Can’t Spell “Rival” without “Friend”! Fortunately, this is an unmissable hint that’s not locked behind a specific dialog choice.

If you don’t have access to either of these avenues yourself, there are two more options to keep in mind: You can borrow the Gold Ship SSR card from another player or borrow a parent Umamusume with a Spark for Corner Connoisseur from one of your friends. The second way is burdened with a bit of RNG, since you need the specific Spark to be triggered during one of the run’s two Inspiration events, but it’s worth trying if it’s your only option.

Corner Connoisseur is an upgraded version of Corner Acceleration, increasing your runner’s acceleration on a corner and therefore allowing her to reach her maximum speed more quickly, which assists with overtakes.
