Umamusume: How to get Rushing Gale

Rushing Gale is a rare and powerful acceleration skill in Umamusume that’s valuable for the upcoming Cancer Cup, but also required to complete one of the missions in the Tracen Special: Training the Trainer event.

How to obtain Rushing Gale in Umamusume

The main way to teach Rushing Gale to your trainee in Umamusume is to use the SSR Support Card [Dream Big!] Tokai Teio, which provides a hint for the skill via the Legendary Act event. No wrong choices can be made in this event, so there’s no danger of missing out on the skill.

However, there is currently no other Support Card with this skill and no Umamusume possesses it as one of her inherent skills, making it a bit of a rarity.

If you don’t have the [Dream Big!] Tokai Teio SSR Support Card, there are two options for you — borrowing the card from one of your friends or borrowing a parent Umamusume with a Spark for Rushing Gale. Getting the card is the most surefire way of obtaining the skill, while it’s a bit of a gamble to rely on the corresponding Spark to activate during one of the two Inspiration events in a run, but it’s still worth a shot if that’s your only avenue to get it.

Rushing Gale is a more powerful version of Straightaway Acceleration, increasing the runner’s acceleration on a straight to allow her to reach her maximum speed as quickly as possible. The effects of acceleration on overtakes and the final spurt are not to be underestimated and might well give you the upper hand in a competitive race.
