Eremite Games and Hooded Horse have announced that Against the Storm is getting a console port, arriving on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on June 26, 2025.

The Against the Storm console port is being handled by the seasoned veterans at QLOC and is going to feature a completely redesigned user interface to service the needs of console players. It’s going to be offered with the same localizations as the original game on PC and feature all of the base game’s content — console players will have access to humans, beavers, lizards, foxes, and harpies with their respective building chains, but not to the frogs who joined the game in its first DLC, Keepers of the Stone.

Against the Storm is currently available on PC and included with PC Game Pass, but there has been no word on a potential addition of the console version to Xbox Game Pass.

Meanwhile, Eremite Games has been busy preparing for the next free update and paid DLC for the PC version, which is going to bring bats and their spooky architecture into the game on top of a brand-new biome. The community had voted for bats to be added in a poll over two years ago during Early Access.

Against the Storm left Early Access at the end of 2023 and reaped accolades from critics and players alike for its innovative take on city-builder gameplay. With its roguelite formula it’s the perfect genre specimen to bring over to consoles.
