Among Us x Genshin Impact collaboration teased
By Marco Wutz

Innersloth and HoYoverse appear to be working on a collaboration between Among Us and Genshin Impact. A series of social media posts has been teasing the partnership.
Among Us posted an image of its spacesuit-wearing mascot character with the unmistakable shadow of Paimon, Genshin Impact’s mascot. “Someone’s been stirring up trouble in The Skeld… keep your visors peeled,” the account wrote.
Genshin Impact’s account commented on the image with one of its own, which shows Paimon doing the classic suspicious eye movement. “Suspicious, very suspicious,” HoYoverse added.

With the benefit of hindsight, HoYoverse actually teased the upcoming collaboration in Genshin Impact’s current patch: Some visual assets found in Version 5.8’s holiday resort in Natlan look very similar to Among Us characters, though it was easy enough to mistake them as depictions of Monetoo, the resort’s native inhabitants.
It’s also fitting that Paimon – one the most suspicious characters in the game, when it comes to her lore and actual identity – might headline the collaboration.
Nothing has been announced officially, so it’s still unclear how deep this collaboration will be. Based on past experiences, though, fans shouldn’t necessarily expect to see any Among Us content in Genshin Impact, while skins inspired by the RPG appearing in the social deduction game seem like a robust possibility.
Of course, with the Miliastra Wonderland UGC mode coming to Genshin Impact later this year, HoYoverse will have a place to put actual crossover content without disrupting Genshin Impact’s worldbuilding.
