GameScience announces Black Myth: Wukong release date for Xbox

Black Myth: Wukong was one of gaming’s greatest hits in 2024 despite only being available on PC and PS5, but now developer GameScience has revealed that it’s hoping to bring the action RPG to Xbox Series X|S on August 20, 2025 — one year to the day after its initial launch.
Steeped in the deep world of Chinese mythology and featuring spectacular graphics, the game earned praise from critics and users alike. Black Myth: Wukong also became a big commercial success and something of a poster child for ambitious Chinese studios looking to break onto a global stage with more traditional triple-A titles. Selling over ten million copies within three days of release certainly puts the game up into the big leagues.
The upcoming Xbox version of Black Myth: Wukong will be up for pre-orders on June 18, 2025, which is also when the game is set to receive a major discount across platforms, so anyone on PC and PS5 who hasn’t picked up the title yet can satisfy their curiosity and save some cash — to be exact, the game’s price will be reduced by 20% in all editions.
Xbox pre-orders will benefit from the same discount as the versions that are available already.
