Creative Assembly teases Total War: Warhammer 3 – Tides of Torment

Creative Assembly has kept its cards close to its chest at this year’s Warhammer Skulls show, only bringing a teaser for the next Total War: Warhammer 3 expansion, which is officially titled Tides of Torment.
As has been announced previously, Tides of Torment will feature Dechala the Denied One as the new playable Legendary Lord for the Daemons of Slaanesh — but it looks like she won’t stay alone forever. CA wants to unveil the second of three factions featured in the DLC on its own channels on May 23, 2025, at 3pm BST / 4pm CEST.
A teaser shown during Skulls depicted a group of sorcerers conducting some sort of ritual, but one of them, wielding a staff with living snakes at the top end, betrays his colleagues, mashing them all together to create a particularly ugly Chaos Spawn with three faces. The betrayer should be Sayl the Faithless, a character from Norsca, which should therefore be the most likely candidate for the second position in Tides of Torment.
Tides of Torment will be fully revealed – and released – later in Summer 2025.
