Europa Universalis 5 release date revealed for PC
By Marco Wutz

Paradox Interactive has revealed that Europa Universalis 5 will be released on November 4, 2025, for PC.
Developed by the publisher’s Studio Tinto, the grand strategy game unites elements from its predecessors as well as Imperator: Rome, Victoria 3, and Crusader Kings 3 to create one of Paradox’s most ambitious takes on the genre yet.
Players can take over the government of any state on Earth in the year 1337 and lead it from there, be it to glory or ruin. Intricate trade and population mechanics provide the backbone of EU5’s simulation, adding more weight to events such as plagues and wars. With elements in each country – including your own – having their own will and agenda, EU5 is a challenge for any would-be ruler, since you’re sometimes fighting your own population on top of foes from outside.
Feeling a little overwhelming even for veterans of the franchise, EU5 boasts an impressive automation system that helps players hold the reins, putting some – or even all – aspects of government into the hands of the AI, if the players so wishes.
EU5 will be available at a suggested retail price of $59.99 USD in its Standard Edition. A Premium Edition that includes two upcoming Chronicle Packs and one upcoming Immersion Pack as well as one immediate cosmetic rewards will be available for $84.99 USD. Everyone pre-ordering the title gains access to an MP3 collection of the Europa Universalis 4 soundtrack.
