Fortnite and many other games go down as major outage hits AWS

Update (Oct. 20, 12:30pm CEST): It looks like services powered by AWS are slowly returning online following the earlier outage, so titles such as Fortnite and Roblox should be on their way to recovery as well.
Original: Amazon Web Services (AWS), one of the world’s most important server providers, is currently experiencing a major outage, which is affecting the world of video games in the form of lots of error messages and connection issues in major titles like Fortnite, Roblox, Palworld, Total War, and Clash Royale as well as services like PlayStation Network and Epic Games Store.
Naturally, any PSN and EGS issues have an impact on a myriad of other titles, including HoYoverse's line-up of games such as Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero.
AWS has confirmed problems in the United States, but the issues are affecting services around the globe.
