Fortnite has returned to iOS in the U.S.

After a drawn out legal battle and an additional delay of several days, Fortnite is finally back on iOS in both the United States and the European Union. The battle royale already shot up to be the top-ranked action game on the platform.
Players in the U.S. can download the game from the App Store, while Europeans can find it in the Epic Games Store as well as other third-party stores once again.
Although Fortnite returned to iOS in Europe last year, the game was temporarily unavailable in recent days due to Apple taking its sweet time to certify the game’s latest update.
“Thanks to everyone who supported the effort to open up mobile competition and #FreeFortnite from the very beginning. And thanks to all of the folks who initially sided with Apple then later came around to the winning side, supporting app developer rights and consumer rights,” stated Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney in reaction to the game’s return.
CCO Donald Mustard commented: “This is absolutely incredible. Everyone go get Fortnite on your Phones and iPads now! We worked so hard in those early days of Fortnite to really dial in and refine a great control scheme for mobile devices!”
This is a much needed victory for Epic Games following the trouble around its addition of an AI Darth Vader to Fortnite that started swearing and resulted in legal action from SAG-AFTRA.
