Fortnite
Fortnite / Epic Games

The first major patch of the new Fortnite season is here, and it’s surprisingly big for the first patch of a new season. Fortnite Festival has started a new season with a new frontman, a whole new Lego game mode has been released, and a bunch of cool skins have been added to the game.

We’ll break it all down for you in our full Fortnite patch notes for update v36.10, so you know everything that’s new in Fortnite today.

New Fortnite Festival season

Fortnite / Epic Games

It’s time to wave goodbye to Sabrina Carpenter, as now Bruno Mars is taking the main stage for the next season of Fortnite Festival. Like all main stage icons, Bruno Mars will have at least two available skins. One that can be bought from the item shop during this season, and another exclusive to the Festival Pass, which you can either buy with V-Bucks or get along with all the other passes by subscribing to Fortnite Crew.

Lego Fortnite Expeditions

A Lego version of Utopia City, with a strange rocky structure in the middle of it.
Fortnite / Epic Games

Lego Fortnite Expeditions was announced yesterday, and with this update, it’s ready for you to jump in and play. You can find it on the game’s main menu like any other mode, which lets you jump in with up to three friends to complete PvE missions with various superpowers in an attempt to defeat Daigo.

Superman Secret skin revealed

Fortnite / Epic Games

The alternate style for the Superman secret skin has been revealed for this update, although it won’t be available until July 11. This “Pen & Ink” style sees Superman take on his classic comic book look, with shading designed to match the art style of old comic books. It looks quite impressive, but you’ll have to wait to get your hands on it.

Fortnite x Squid Game skins

Fortnite / Epic Games

This collaboration has been teased for a little while, and with this update, the files for a new set of Squid Game skins have been found. It’s not known exactly when they’ll be released just yet, but it’s expected to be sometime between now and the next update in a few weeks. The skins see various original characters in the green suit from the games, as well as the different versions of the pink-jacketed enforcers who help run the game.

July 2025 Crew pack

Fortnite / Epic Games

If you subscribe to Fortnite Crew, you get a new original skin every month, and the skin for July has been revealed. For July, it will be “Reboot Man” which will also come with some reboot-themed cosmetics, like the van that’s dotted around every Fortnite map. It’s a fun addition, but it’s a shame it’ll only be available via Crew.

Battle Bus vehicle skin

Fortnite / Epic Games

In hindsight, it’s baffling this wasn’t already in the game, but this update adds the iconic Battle Bus as a purchasable skin for your SUVs. It’s customisable to the same extent as most vehicles, and of course, getting it in Fortnite will also unlock it in Rocket League, as long as you use the same Epic account.
