Fortnite v36.30 patch notes: Borderlands, Ninja, and unlimited Kamehamehas

The final Fortnite update for Chapter 6 Season 3 is here. This season is set to end towards the end of next week, so as you might expect, this update doesn’t add much content to Battle Royale. However, there are some exciting collabs and new content for the game’s other modes, so there’s still plenty to check out.

New Fortnite x Borderlands collab
With Borderlands 4 on the horizon, launching this September, it’s no surprise that it’s making a reappearance in Fortnite. The Psycho Bandit skin is currently available in the item shop, and on top of that, at some point before the next update, a new collab featuring Moxxi will be released, expanding the roster of characters from that series available.
Pets and minigames for Brick Life
Lego Fortnite Brick Life has been quietly growing in the background since its launch earlier this year, and v36.30 sees one of its biggest updates yet, featuring pets. You’ll now be able to head to the Cozy Paws Cafe or the Trot Lot to adopt a furry friend (or as furry as a Lego figure can be). It’s not just something you can do once and forget about either, as the Cats and Ponies on offer have care requirements that you’ll need to meet.
Fortnite Blitz Ninja event
Streamer Ninja is taking over Fortnite Blitz for a day, with his viewers having some control over the loot pool in the mode. Along with this, several powerful Ninja-themed weapons are being added to the mode, and you can get your hands on the free Blitz Boss Ninja skin, which is an alternate style for the existing Ninja skin.
Unlimited Kamehameha Blitz event
That’s not all Fortnite Blitz has got going on though, as for one hour starting at 3pm ET on August 2, every single person in every match will be given unlimited Kamehamehas to use as they see fit. Blitz Royale is designed to be a more fast-paced mode, but this will crank that up to a ludicrous degree as everyone gets a chance to unleash unlimited power.
New original skins
As always, this update comes with a host of original skins that will be added to the item shop over the next couple of weeks. This update’s selection includes a pack of three summer-themed skins, including a new variant for Aphrodite; a toon-style goth girl; and a mascot-headed alien that is weirdly unsettling to look at.
