Genshin Impact will stop PS4 support in 2026

In parallel with raising the title’s system requirements.

HoYoverse announced that it will stop supporting Genshin Impact on PS4 in the near future. The open-world RPG will no longer receive updates on the last-gen console from April 8, 2026.

In the run-up to the end of support, Genshin Impact will be removed from the PlayStation Store for PS4 on September 10, 2025, preventing players from adding it to their library. On February 25, 2026, in-game purchases will be removed in the final preparatory step ahead of the support stop.

HoYoverse stated “limitations related to hardware performance and platform application size” as reasons behind the decision. The PS5 version will continue on as normal.

In parallel to this move, the developer has increased the minimum specifications of the game on mobile devices and PC to support the further development and expansion of the title.

New Genshin Impact system requirements – PC

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit*
  • CPU: 6th Generation Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen series or equivalent*
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Discrete Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1050 or equivalent*
  • Core Graphics Card: Intel Iris Xe or equivalent*
  • DirectX Version: 11

New Genshin Impact system requirements – Android

  • ARMv8-A 64-bit architecture
  • Non-PowerVR GPU
  • SoC: Snapdragon 660 (Adreno 610) or Helio G88 (Mali-G52) and above*
  • RAM: 4 GB or more
  • Operating System: Android 10.0 and above*

New Genshin Impact system requirements – iOS

  • Devices: iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X, iPad mini (5th generation) or iPad Air (3rd generation) or iPad (8th generation) and later models
  • SoC: iPhone devices with Apple A11 SoC or later, or iPad devices with Apple A12 SoC or above
  • RAM: 3 GB or more
  • Operating System: iOS 13.0 and above (Bluetooth controller support requires iOS 14 or above)*

Genshin Impact will next visit the region of Nod-Krai starting with Version 6.0. Lauma, Flins, and Aino have been confirmed as the playable characters for the next update.
