GTA 5 is getting updated with DLSS multi frame generation on PC

A new update for GTA 5 Enhanced seems to be imminent, if Nvidia’s newest Game Ready driver is to be believed.
Nvidia Game Ready Driver version 580.97 is available to download on PC right now, and it’s bringing with it the company’s DLSS multi frame generation for a few games. One of those games is Senua’s Sacrifice: Hellblade 2 Enhanced, the update for which was released earlier today, but the other is the enhanced version of GTA 5.
GTA 5 Enhanced is an improved edition of the PC version of GTA 5 that was released earlier this year. The updated version of the game brought the game up to the new visual standard introduced in the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game, adding ray traced shadows and reflections as well as support for Nvidia’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR upscaling technologies.
It was, however, missing multi frame generation, a new feature introduced with DLSS 4 that uses machine learning to generate additional frames to artificially boost the frame rate, which can leave the game looking and feeling more responsive. Alongside latency-lowering technologies like Nvidia Reflex, multi frame generation can be a game changer for more intensive games and for reaching higher frame rates — although it’s only available on the most recent graphics cards in the Nvidia lineup, the RTX 50 series.
The wording in the update details suggests that GTA 5 Enhanced could be getting an update very soon, with the “What’s New” section in the Nvidia app saying the new driver “gets your system ready for the Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced’s DLSS4 with Multi Frame Generation update.”
At the time of writing, developer Rockstar Games has not officially announced an update, nor has a new update been made available on Steam.
