New GTA 6 trailer showcases Jason and Lucia's story with incredible graphics

When the GTA 6 release date was announced with a delay, it felt like a new trailer would be the perfect way for Rockstar to make it up to us, and a few days later, it’s delivered, and a new trailer is available to watch on Rockstar’s YouTube channel right now.
Where the first trailer was mostly a teaser showing us a bit of the world, this one gives us a better look into the story of our dual protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. It’s been a bit of an open secret for a while that this game would center around a Bonnie and Clyde-style love story and this trailer has confirmed that, as they’re getting intimate in just about every other scene we see.
Rockstar have also released character profiles for each of them on the game’s website, with Jason being an ex-army tough guy who now does work for the local drug lords and Lucia having just got out of prison and looking to take up more sophisticated crimes to stay out of jail while climbing the ladder to the high-living her mom always dreamed of.
This isn’t a fairytale though, as the trailer also shows us plenty of classic GTA action we have in store, running heists, escaping the cops, and getting caught in shootouts, all in an incredible realistic visual style – that alleged billion-dollar budget is looking good.
As announced by Rockstar last week, GTA 6 releases on May 26, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
