Supergiant Games has announced that Version 1.0 of Hades 2 will be released on September 26, 2025, for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2. The title has been available via Early Access since May 2024, receiving several substantial updates and overhauls based on user feedback.

After nearly 1.5 years in Early Access, the developer is ready to put the final touches on Hades 2, completing it in all aspects — though the studio will stick around for post-launch support.

Featuring an all-new story, levels, and gameplay systems, Hades 2 is a lot bigger than the first game, but keeps many of its core mechanics in place.

“Hades II is our team's first-ever sequel, and we've been giving it everything we've got for more than four and a half years. Since May of 2024, we've been developing in Early Access, taking feedback from our player community to try and fully realize this game's potential. The result is the biggest game we've ever made, and one we hope you'll find to be a worthy successor to its namesake,” Supergiant wrote on Steam.

“To all our Early Access players, thank you so much for all the inspiration and support! And to all our prospective players, thank you for your patience. We can't wait to share the full game with you later this month!”
