There’s good and bad news for Heroes of Might and Magic fans: The Early Access release for the upcoming series entry, Olden Era, has been delayed to 2026. However, PC players can still get their hands on the game at this very moment thanks to a free demo that’s out on Steam now.
In the demo, players can jump into Classic Mode, Single Hero Mode, and Arena Mode with four playable factions to get a taste of what the Early Access launch will have to offer.
Olden Era is an attempt to reignite the former glory of the iconic tactical RPG franchise with an accessible title that sticks to the series’ roots and introduces a variety of game modes appealing to various types of players. It’s being developed by Iratus maker Unfrozen and co-published by IP holder Ubisoft and the strategy game experts at Hooded Horse. Having crossed the mark of 800,000 Steam wishlists, the return of the franchise certainly has players excited.
